The flexible body is useful for a marker that needs to be carried, moved and set out repeatedly. Reflective material responds to an external light source, such as vehicle headlights. It does not produce light of its own. Position the cone where approaching users can see it before reaching the boundary, and consider nearby parked vehicles or equipment that could hide it from view.

For a car park, plan the arrangement around the actual vehicle turning space and the route people will use on foot. Leave entrances and designated access points clear. A cone marks an instruction or boundary; it is not a barrier capable of stopping a vehicle. The required number of cones depends on the layout, available sight lines and the site assessment.
