Air Release Valve for Fire-Water Pipeline High Points
An air release valve automatically vents small pockets of accumulated air from a pressurized water pipeline. It is commonly positioned at a high point or another location where air can separate from the water and collect during normal system operation.

Automatic Float Operation
Inside the valve, a float mechanism responds to the liquid level. Accumulated air lowers the internal water level and allows the vent to open. As air leaves and water rises, the float returns the vent toward its closed position. The detailed mechanism and venting capacity depend on the selected model.
